Important tips from the travel table
From the pages of Donna’s diary
The passport renewal process
Now, I am only going to cover what takes place here in Canada.
So here goes.
* To be on the safe side, make sure to renew your passport no more than six months before you travel.
* Get 2 passport sized photos.
* You can renew at a passport office but here is the trick.
You can either go to the counter where you can do it quickly and receive it in a matter of days.
Or you can go to the counter where it takes longer because you need to fill out an application.
* To do it more quickly, just go in with your form already completed.
I believe that in the case where you are applying for a new passport it is a similar process.
Good luck.
I’m Donna J. Jodhan enjoying my travels.

A bit of this and a bit of that from Donna’s did you know diary
August 2023
A bit of this and a bit of that from Donna’s did you know diary
Award winning sight loss coach, author and advocate
Welcome to my Donna’s did you know diary for this month and pleased to share the following with you.
Here’s what I learned for this month.
1) Some types of vacation for you to keep in mind:
Vacation – away from home.
Stay cation – vacation at home
Work cation – a combination of a vacation or stay cation and working while you vacation.
2) And what do the sleep experts recommend for the right number of hours for sleep at night?
According to them 7 to 8 hours.
Guess I need to increase my own number of hours.
3) This may be a bit late for the summer but never the less:
There are 2 types of sun rays and these are UVA and UVV.
It is always better to use sun protectors that are lotions as opposed to using a spray and why?
Because you stand less of a chance of inhaling your sun protector.
4) Some suggestions for flavouring your water?
You can use any of the following:
Slices of lemon or orange
Slices of cucumber
Lettuce leaves.
5) Here is an interesting tip on plants.
Yes indeed! They help to purify the around them and a good idea to keep them in your home.
6) About dandruff?
Dandruff comes about as a result of a dry scalp and shampoo conditioner really does not help.
You should be looking at using an overnight serum product to help you here.
7) And it’s all about diamonds!
Did you know that there are home grown diamonds and natural diamonds?
Home grown diamonds come from labs
While natural diamonds come from mines.
The natural diamonds are more expensive than the home grown ones.
8) What is the difference between a bloody Caesar and a bloody Mary?
The bloody Caesar is made using Motts Clomato juice
While the bloody Mary is used using tomato juice.

From the scam watchers
Ah yes! It is August but scammers and ther scams never sleep and here is our scam tip for this month.
If you are vacationing with your kids, keep them very close to you as those scammers are only too ready to grab them and then they pounce!
They have ways to contact you via text or your cell phone number.
They do their homework before they pounce so they know which kid they are grabbing and from which family!
