Marble

* To remove spots, stains and discolorations from marble, place marble in hot sunlight. If this is not possible, heat marble one hour or more under a hot spotlight (never a sunlamp). Then, generously swab on household bleach. Continue this every hour or so until discoloration is gone. (Sometimes this may take a couple of days). Rinse with water and dry. Remove to shade. Use paste camuba wax to polish. Never use oil polish or soft waxes such as beeswax or paraffin wax on marble as they can cause discoloration.
