For this month:  a question from Sharon in Peterborough Ontario.

Sharon is searching for a gadget that can help her to save time in the kitchen when cleaning up messes.

My response:

Sharon, here is something that I found on the Internet.

The pot minder

To clean up messes in the kitchen

A great cooking utensil generally makes preparing and cooking meals simpler. Some kinds of kitchen gadgets reduce preparation time, others make a difficult kitchen task easier, and some simply reduce the mess made during preparation. The Pot Minder does it all and is one of the essential kitchen tools every kitchen should have. How It Works

As the liquid heats up, the pot minder modifies the formation of steam bubbles, preventing the buildup of foam that can lead to boil-overs. Additionally, it produces a rattling sound when boiling begins, serving as an audible cue that the pot is reaching a boil. This feature is especially helpful for visually impaired cooks or those who may be multitasking in the kitchen.

A question from Lucie in Lizbun .

Lucie wants to know if there is such a thing as self threading needles?

My response:

Most definitely Lucie.

They definitely exist and I use them all the time.

The make for easier sewing if you a person who is blind/vision impaired and have difficulty threading needles.

Sighted folks can also benefit from self threading needles.
