For this month:
10 tips for learning Google Chrome
Sure! Here are 10 tips for learning and mastering Google Chrome:
1.
Utilize Keyboard Shortcuts: Learning keyboard shortcuts can significantly improve your efficiency. Common shortcuts include Ctrl+T to open a new tab, Ctrl+Shift+N for a new incognito window, and Ctrl+W to close the current tab.
2.
Sync Your Devices: Sign in to Chrome with your Google account to sync bookmarks, history, passwords, and settings across all your devices. This ensures a seamless browsing experience.
3.
Customize Your Homepage: Set up your preferred homepage or pages that open when you start Chrome. Go to Settings > On startup, and choose the options that best suit your needs.
4.
Manage Extensions: Enhance your browser’s functionality by installing extensions from the Chrome Web Store. Manage them by navigating to chrome://extensions/, where you can enable, disable, or remove them.
5.
Use the Omnibox Efficiently: Chrome’s address bar, the Omnibox, can be used for more than just entering URLs. You can perform calculations, search your bookmarks, find answers, and more directly from the Omnibox.
6.
Pin Tabs for Easy Access: Pin frequently used tabs to keep them accessible and save space. Right-click on a tab and select “Pin.” Pinned tabs stay on the left side of the tab bar.
7.
Take Advantage of Incognito Mode: Use Incognito Mode (Ctrl+Shift+N) for private browsing sessions that don’t save your history, cookies, or site data after you close the window.
8.
Explore Developer Tools: For web developers, Chrome’s Developer Tools (accessed by pressing F12 or right-clicking on a page and selecting “Inspect”) offer a range of features for debugging and optimizing websites.
9.
Manage Passwords Securely: Chrome has a built-in password manager. Go to Settings > Passwords to view, manage, and auto-fill passwords securely. You can also generate strong passwords.
10.
Use Tab Groups: Organize your tabs by grouping them. Right-click on a tab and select “Add to new group.” You can name and color-code groups to keep your tabs organized and easy to navigate.
These tips should help you become more proficient with Google Chrome and make your browsing experience more efficient and enjoyable.

Important tips from the travel table
From the pages of Donna’s diary
What makes for an accessible airline?
Based on my long years of travel both domestic and international and having had to engage and communicate with airlines before I travel, I proffer the following tips and suggestions.
* It all starts with the booking process and online booking systems must be accessible.
That is, to ensure that the booking system is easy to navigate and use and that it can be navigated independently.
* That there are contact telephone numbers for one to call if they run into difficulty and that the telephone customer reps can help to complete bookings.
* to ensure that airline websites are fully accessible, navigable, and usable.
* that airport services are provided by agents from curb side to boarding.
* that there is adequate assistance provided at check in.
* That all agents are properly trained to engage and communicate with travelers with a disability or special need.
* Remember, one size does not fit all!
* In flight services are built to accomodate the needs and requests of travelers with a disability.
* Requests such as assistance with meals, visiting the washroom, and transfer services from mobility aid to seat for those requiring them.
I hope that this is a good start.
I’m Donna J. Jodhan enjoying my travels.

A bit of this and a bit of that from Donna’s did you know diary
Welcome to my Donna’s did you know diary for this month and pleased to share the following with you.
Here’s what I learned for this month.
1) About jalapeno peppers
They can irritate your skin when you interact with them.
Best to wear rubber gloves when working with them.
2) An important tip on steak!
Did you know that it takes longer to digest steak than it does for chicken, pork, lamb, or fish?
3) About knowing what to do if your blood pressure level is too low!
Eat something that is a bit salty!
4) About what to do if your sugar level is a bit low!
Take something that is a bit sweet!
5) About wall nuts and almonds?
2 of the most nutritious types of nuts for you to eat.
6) And in case you were wondering about some differences between orange juice and grapefruit juice?
Grapefruit juice contains more acid than does orange juice.
7) What’s this about some benefits to drinking coconut water daily?
Well! The experts tell us that the drinking of coconut juice helps to keep our kidneys healthy!
8) What is the difference between hand sanitizer and hand soap?
For hand sanitizer, you do not need to use water.
Whereas for hand soap you do.
From the scam watchers
Scams can vary by month and region, but as of recent trends, three scams that tend to be particularly prevalent in November include:
1.
Holiday Shopping Scams: With the holiday season approaching, scammers ramp up efforts to exploit consumers. This includes fake online stores, phishing emails pretending to be from legitimate retailers, and fraudulent offers on social media. Scammers may use tactics such as creating fake deals or selling non-existent products.
2.
Tax Scams: Some scammers start targeting individuals with tax-related schemes as the end of the year approaches. These can include fake IRS calls or emails threatening legal action if immediate payment is not made, or phishing attempts to steal personal information under the guise of tax updates.
3.
Charity Scams: During the holiday season, there’s an increase in charitable giving. Scammers often exploit this by posing as charitable organizations to solicit donations. These scams can take the form of fraudulent phone calls, emails, or websites that appear to be associated with legitimate charities.
It’s always a good idea to be cautious, verify sources, and use secure payment methods to protect yourself from scams.
