Ask the Coach!
March 2024
My name is Donna Jodhan and I am using my extensive experience as a sight loss coach as well as my lived experience to share and respond to questions that are submitted to me and I also invite you to share your thoughts on questions asked.
For this month: a question from Nikki in Stokholm Sweden.
Nikki would like to know if there are ways to cover dishes and open containers of food before placing them in the fridge?
My response:
Nikki: and the answer is a definite yes!
I use stretch tops made of silicon.
They are very good, keeps food fresh, and most of all they are very flexible.
They stretch very well and I use them all of the time.
I hope that this helps.

a question from Shaun in Miami Florida.
Shaun would like to know if there are omelet makers for the microwave.
My response:
Shaun and a definite yes!
They are several on the market.
I have used one for several years now.
It makes good omelets, and it saves a lot of time.
Some folks may still prefer to cook their omelets on the stove top.
Microwave omelet makers usually have to compartments.
So you place your egg mixture into one side then you place your toppings into the other side.
Then you take the side with the topping and close it over the side.
Then cook away.
Omelet makers usually come with instructions as to how long to cook for and actually how to prepare your mixture and topping.

a question from Heather in Providence Road Island.
Heather is looking for a way to deal with spills in her microwave.
My response:
Hear and yes! I recommend that you purchase those microwave mats designed to avoid spills.
I use a silicon mat in my microwave.
It is round, and it heats your food really well.
The food heats evenly.
What I like about my mat is that it is easy to handle.
You can remove your dish or plate from the microwave with the mat under dish or plate.
The mat is not going to slip away.
