Ask the Coach!
January 10 2023
My name is Donna Jodhan and I am using my extensive experience as a sight loss coach as well as my lived experience to share and respond to questions that are submitted to me and I also invite you to share your thoughts on questions asked.
For this week: a question from Janie in Dublin Ireland.
Janie wants to know how to tell when food is moldy.
My response:
Janie, ordinarily it is relatively easy if you can see as there are tell tale signs resting on the top of your food.
Green is the colour that you look for and if it is present then you put your food in the garbage.
Next you can use your sense of smell to tell you if food has gone mouldy.
If there is a distinct rotten smell then you need to put your food in the garbage.
Finally use your fingers to tell you if the food is slimy and if it is this is your third reason for throwing your food in the garbage.
Does anyone have any other suggestions?
