10 tips on How to use an apple watch
Sure! Here are 10 simple and useful tips for getting the most out of an Apple Watch ⌚️
1.
Customize your watch face
Press and hold the watch face to change it. Add complications (like weather, battery, or activity rings) so important info is visible at a glance.
2.
Use Activity Rings daily
Try to close the Move, Exercise, and Stand rings each day. They’re a fun way to stay active without overdoing it.
3.
Quickly access Control Center
Swipe up from the bottom of the screen to turn on Silent Mode, Do Not Disturb, Airplane Mode, or check battery life.
4.
Use Siri hands-free
Just raise your wrist and say “Hey Siri” to set timers, send texts, or ask questions—no tapping needed.
5.
Unlock your iPhone with your Watch
If Face ID fails (like when wearing a mask), your Apple Watch can unlock your iPhone automatically.
6.
Track workouts accurately
Start workouts from the Workout app instead of relying on automatic detection for better accuracy.
7.
Use Apple Pay
Double-click the side button to pay quickly and securely—no phone or wallet needed.
8.
Silence notifications when needed
Turn on Silent Mode or Focus modes so your watch doesn’t distract you during school, studying, or sleep.
9.
Find your iPhone easily
Open Control Center and tap the phone icon to make your iPhone play a sound—even if it’s on silent.
10.
Improve battery life
Lower screen brightness, turn off Always-On Display (if available), and close unused apps to make the battery last longer.

Important tips from the travel table
From the pages of Donna’s diary
An accessible restaurant
Over my lifetime I have had the great privilege and pleasure of dining at all kinds of restaurants; from some of the classiest to the ones that I title as cost effective.
So in my humble opinion, here’s what I think makes for an accessible restaurant.
It all starts upon entering the restaurant.
* Welcoming staff at the front desk.
* efficient and friendly escort to the requested table – booth or regular table.
* Easy access to the requested booth/table.
* Friendly waiters and waitresses
*Meals are served in a timely basis.
* Meal orders are accurately filled.
* Touch pad screens for payment are accessible and usable.
I’m Donna J. Jodhan enjoying my travels.

Practical and natural!
Welcome to my Donna’s did you know diary for this month and pleased to share the following with you.
Here’s what I learned for this month.
1) Some dining etiquette
When using your cutlery, always take from the outside moving to the inside.
You’ll probably have more than one knife, fork, and spoon.
Your spoons are usually arranged at the top of your plate
With the soup spoon topmost
Then the dessert spoon.
Your tea spoon may be beneath the dessert spoon
Or it may be right next to your plate on the inside to the left of your main knife.
2) Testing for leaks in a container
Pour a tiny amount of water into the container
And if the water stays then your container is leak proof.
If the water runs out then it is not leak proof.
3) Checking for bad eggs before buying?
Open the box in the store
Then gently move each around in their compartment.
Make sure that you can move each egg around.
If any of the eggs stick then the egg is not good.
4) Some interesting info about tuna and salmon?
Tuna usually swim with the current
While salmon swim against the current.
5) Here is a home grown suggestion for losing weight!
Mix 1 teaspoon of olive oil and 1 tea spoon of lemon juice in a glass
and drink this mixture every morning.
6) About the benefits of Kumquats
Kumquats are an excellent source of vitamin C,
and the edible skin—chock-full of antioxidants and fiber—makes them a nutrient
7) About apple trees and apples?
Apple trees take from two to 3 years before they start bearing fruit.
Apples are filled with good fiber.
8) What are wi-fi pods?
Wi-fi pods are used to boost the Internet signal.
9) And the best time to water your plants?
First thing in the morning and last thing in the evening and why?
Because if you water them at noon the sun will burn their leaves in quick time.
10) Some tips for the sun.
Put lots of sun lotion behind your ears, behind your neck, and on the tops of your hands and feet and why?
Because these are the parts of your body that tend to burn very quickly.

Here are three of the most common scams people should watch out for in May, based on typical seasonal patterns that repeat every year:
1. Tax Refund & IRS Scams (Post–Tax Season)
Even though U.S. taxes are usually due in April, scammers keep going in May.
•
Fake emails/texts claiming there’s a problem with your tax return or that you’re owed an extra refund
•
Messages pretending to be from the IRS asking for personal info or payment
Red flag: The IRS does not contact people by text, social media, or unsolicited email.
2. Graduation & Scholarship Scams
May is peak graduation season, so scammers target students and families.
•
Fake scholarship offers that require a “processing fee”
•
Messages claiming you’ve “won” a grant you never applied for
•
Fake job offers aimed at new graduates
Red flag: Legit scholarships and jobs do not ask for upfront fees or sensitive info right away.
3. Travel & Vacation Booking Scams
As summer approaches, fake travel deals become very common.
•
Too-good-to-be-true vacation packages
•
Fake rental listings or cloned hotel websites
•
Social media ads offering extreme discounts
Red flag: Pressure to “book now,” pay with gift cards, crypto, or wire transfer.
Quick safety tips
•
Don’t click links from unexpected messages
•
Verify offers on official websites
•
Never share passwords, one-time codes, or SSNs
•
Talk to a trusted adult before paying or signing up for anything online
