All You Need to Know About Turmeric Ginger Tea

Turmeric ginger tea is made by brewing turmeric powder and ginger root together in hot water. Both of these ingredients are normally used individually for their nutritional and medicinal effects, but they become even more powerful when they?re combined together. Let?s take a look at the health benefits of turmeric ginger tea:

  1. Promotes Good Heart Health

Ginger and turmeric both have the power to lower cholesterol levels, particularly LDL cholesterol. This type of cholesterol is responsible for plaque deposition in the arteries and blood vessels, which can increase the risk of suffering a heart attack or a stroke.

  1. Boosts Cognition

This particular benefit comes from the ginger in this tea. The unique combination of antioxidants in turmeric ginger tea stimulates neural activity, increases focus and reduces beta-amyloid plaque deposition.
Ginger also has anti-inflammatory effects on brain tissue.

  1. Has Analgesic Properties

Curcumin and gingerols, which are the two most significant active ingredients in turmeric ginger tea, can relieve pain throughout the entire body. These analgesic properties are in addition to their anti-inflammatory properties, which can relieve joint pain and muscle discomfort.

  1. Prevents Cancer

The progression of various types of cancer has been shown to slow down when consuming ginger, with particular reference to gastrointestinal cancers.
Curcumin is a powerful antioxidant compound that reduces oxidative stress and free radical formation in the body.

  1. Bolsters Immune System

Turmeric ginger tea is an excellent immune system aid. If you have a weak immune system and frequently come down with colds, this tea might be the solution for you. Furthermore, turmeric ginger tea also assists the body?s healing process and eliminates underlying infections.

  1. Promotes Healthy Skin

Inflammatory skin conditions, such as psoriasis and eczema, can be treated with turmeric. The gingerols found within turmeric ginger teas have strong antibacterial and antioxidant properties that protect the skin from infection. Other benefits include new cell growth stimulation and the prevention of aging.

  1. Aids Digestion

Ginger can help to settle the stomach, reduce nausea and promote healthy digestion thank to its strong anti-inflammatory properties. It can also eliminate cramping and bloating, which can in turn eliminate symptoms of constipation. In fact, it?s often used to treat Irritable Bowel Syndrome, ulcerative colitis and acid reflux disease.

  1. Regulates blood sugar

Ginger and turmeric are both known for their abilities to regulate blood sugar in their own right, but those effects are increased significantly when they?re combined in a tea. Turmeric ginger tea prevents dangerous fluctuation in blood sugar levels by keeping glucose and insulin levels balanced.

How to Make Turmeric Ginger Tea

Ingredients

? 1 cup of water (filtered)
? 1 teaspoon of grated fresh ginger root ? 1 teaspoon of grated fresh turmeric root ? 1 teaspoon of honey ? 1 teaspoon of black pepper

Method

  1. Boil the water in a saucepan or pot.
  2. Add the grated turmeric and ginger to the water, then turn the heat down to a simmer.
  3. Allow the mixture to stand for 10-15 minutes.
  4. Strain the tea into a teapot.
  5. Add black pepper and honey and enjoy!

Correct Turmeric Ginger Tea Consumption

This tea is an extremely potent mixture, so all you need to drink to reap all of the health benefits outlined above is one cup per day. Although consuming more than that each day is not dangerous, doing so will exacerbate the risk of experiencing side effects.

The Side Effects of Turmeric Ginger Tea

? Interacts negatively with diabetes and high blood pressure medications.
Also has anticoagulant properties, meaning that it can interfere with blood-thinning medications.
? Exacerbates gallbladder and kidney stone issues by increasing uric acid levels in the blood.
? Ginger and turmeric allergies can cause skin irritation headache, nausea, dizziness and swelling of the tongue, lips or throat.
? Not good for pregnant or breastfeeding women. The tea?s medicinal effects can be dangerous to them.
? Can cause gastrointestinal problems when consumed excessively. Limit intake to just one cup per day.

When travel apps are inaccessible

One of the biggest barriers that I have had and continue to face is when a travel app is not accessible or usable. When I expect an app to function adequately but alas! There are problems.

On the whole, most travel apps are extremely accessible but with the pandemic dictating how we present information to border services agents, we need to ensure that especially these types of apps are made accessible so that we do not have to depend on sighted assistance or most importantly it takes away unwanted stress.

With the need to be more aware of what types of outlets are close to where we are located, the need for accessible apps is even more acute. As mentioned above, these types of apps are generally very accessible and I can only hope that this trend continues.
