Crock-Pot – Slow Cooker Recipes:
Dips And Fondue
Stewed Fig And Blue Cheese Dip
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 medium onion, chopped
1/2 cup port wine
1 package (6 ounces) dried Calimyrna
figs, finely chopped
1/2 cup orange juice
1/2 cup crumbled blue cheese, divided
1 tablespoon unsalted butter
Assorted crackers
Heat oil in small nonstick skillet over
medium-high heat. Add onion; cook 7 to 8
minutes, or until light golden, stirring
occasionally. Stir in wine. Bring to a boil;
cook 1 minute. Transfer to 1 1/2 quart
crock-pot; stir in figs and orange juice.
Cover; cook on high 1 to 1 1/2 hours, or
until figs are plump and tender. Stir in 1/4
cup blue cheese and butter. Sprinkle with
remaining blue cheese. Serve with
assorted crackers.
Makes 6 to 8 servings.

Quick And Easy Chili
2 pounds ground beef
2 tablespoons oil
2 (15 ounce) cans kidney beans, drained
and rinsed
2 (10 3/4 ounce) cans tomato soup
2 tablespoons chili powder
Brown ground beef in hot oil; drain. Add
remaining ingredients plus 1 empty soup
can filled with water; stir well. Bring to a
boil; reduce heat, cover and simmer for 1

Easiest Three Cheese Fondue
1 tablespoon butter
1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
1 cup milk
2 tablespoons onion, very finely chopped
1 clove garlic, minced
1 cup (about 4 ounces) shredded
Cheddar cheese
1/2 cup crumbled blue cheese
1/2 package (about 1 1/2 ounces) cream
cheese, cut into cubes
1/2 teaspoon hot pepper sauce
1/8 teaspoon salt
Assorted cut up fresh vegetables
Melt butter in medium saucepan over
medium heat. Stir in flour; cook and stir 2
minutes. Gradually stir in milk. Continue
cooking until mixture comes to a boil and
thickens, stirring constantly. Stir in onion
and garlic; cook and stir 15 minutes. Stir
in cheeses, hot pepper sauce and salt;
cook and stir until cheeses are melted
and dip is smooth. Coat inside of Crock-
pot Little Dipper warmer with nonstick
cooking spray. Fill with warm fondue.
Serve with vegetables.
Makes 1 1/2 cups.
