A business team celebrates success and hands out awards as an audience looks on.

Sterling Creations’ president Donna Jodhan is honoured to have received a number of awards and commendations for her activism:

Jodhan was presented with an award from Elections Canada for her work with the Advisory Group for Disability Issues, where she has been serving since its inception in 2014.

In 2017, the Canadian Council for the Blind (CCB) presented Donna with their White Cane Week Person of the Year Award for 2017 at their annual banquet.

The award has an engraved plaque, which reads: 'In recognition of your Valued Contribution to the Disability Rights Movement in Canada.' In 2010, after being nominated by Citizens With Disabilities – Ontario (CWDO), Donna received the Council of Canadians with Disabilities’ National Award. The CCD National Award recognizes outstanding contributions to the Canadian disability rights movement.

After being nominated by the Alliance for Equality of Blind Canadians (AEBC), Donna was named “Unsung Hero of 2008” by the city of Toronto for her landmark Charter challenge against the federal government to make their websites more accessible for blind and vision-impaired Canadians.
